A survivor of the rave massacre – in which over 260 young revellers at a party near the Gaza Strip were gunned down by Hamas terrorists – has said that women were “raped next to the dead bodies of their friends”.
Speaking to US website Tablet, the survivor said that several of the rape victims appeared to have been executed later, while others were taken to Gaza.
Another survivor returned to the scene later in the day to look for his friends spoke, of seeing cold and mutilated bodies, mainly of young women. He said he saw scantily clad corpses, many of whom appeared to have been shot at point-blank.
“I felt like they were shooting right above our heads,” another survivor told the Tablet. “I dove into a bush … It felt like the shooting was coming from 180 degrees, all around us. I understood we’re going to be there for at least a couple of hours. And I had nothing on me. And I was like, the only thing I want is a weapon. I want something to protect us.”
Some of the revellers escaped to a nearby wadi and hid themselves the shrubbery, he said.
Eventually, he and his friends - some of them without shoes - decided to make a dash for safety by following a road. They walked close enough to see it but not so close so that they might be seen.
“I said, if we see like army or police cars, we’re going to go to the road. Otherwise, we’re going to stay away. When we saw police and army cars, we knew that it’s a safe place,” he told the Tablet.
Later, when the massacre was finally over and IDF soldiers managed to subdue the attackers, they searched trucks and found RPG launchers, high-end communications devices, assorted AK-47s and other mostly Soviet-made weapons, along with numerous copies of the Quran.

Comment: Where to start?
We have been to raves before. We have done it all - energy drinks, MDMA, cocaine, marijuana - and we can say with confidence that it is total self-indulgence, with no redeeming social value whatsoever.
Our analysis is that the first wave of Hamas fighters were carrying radios and weapons and maps and were engaged in serious maneuvers focused upon achieving specific targeted goals and preventing themselves from being killed and did not have time to drop their trousers, cultivate an erection, or attempt forced fertilization upon unwilling Jewesses - no matter how irresistable and scantily clad they might have been.
There are indications that a second wave of Palestinian men who were not directly affiliated with Hamas followed Hamas through the fence, but, if so, Hamas is not responsible for the actions of these other Palestinians.
If we trace these events to their first cause we are forced to say that the Israelis are each individually and collectively responsible for the Palestinians' angst - going all the way back to the unprovoked Jewish pogrom of Palestinians, in 1948 - and we won't back down until Israel admits the truth.
We think holding an all-night rave with lights and amplified music and nearly naked women, on hallucinogens, dancing, a mere quarter mile away from an enclave of heavily armed rebel Moslems, suffering various forms of serious deprivation - water, food and medicines - who don't do that stuff, could be considered provacative ... stupid ... or both.
From the point of view of an armed military operation, any gathering of several thousand young adult Israelis has to be regarded as a threat, as every single Israeli is a member of the armed forces - even the half-naked, sexually liberated attention whores.
The vendors at the rave surely used cameras to secure their businesses and so we are waiting to see some videos supporting this version of events. It's been a few weeks now and nothing has emerged. Even the sole witness to this alleged crime is anonymous.
We call 'bullshit' on this claim. Pics, or it didn't happen.
We think the validity of this claim can only be evaluated against the context of everything else that has happened in Israel since 1948 - these allegations cannot be assessed as unique events disconnected from everything else.
It's really hard to feel much sympathy for half-naked attention whores with so much free time and money they can afford to abandon their non-existent job, whip out their second passport, and fly to another country, thousands of miles away ... just to attend a rave, with some other unemployed, jet-setting, half-naked attention whores like themselves.
It's also hard to feel sympathy for a culture whose first reflex in all circumstances is to lie - to themselves, to one another, and to those of us whom care enough to seek the truth.
